PhD in Development Studies (Development Economics track), Global Development Institute, University of Manchester, supervised by Professor Kunal Sen. My research examines why public capital investment in developing countries so often under-delivers relative to budgeted allocations, and which institutional reforms improve execution. The study uses a two-tier design — Indonesia (national and subnational capital budgets) as the primary causal case, with India/Uttar Pradesh as a structured comparator — combining a cross-sectional baseline diagnostic with a staggered difference-in-differences strategy exploiting variation in PFM reform timing. This research builds on two decades of public financial management and governance experience, including roles as Task Team Leader at the World Bank, Senior PFM Adviser at GIZ and DANIDA, and service in the Indian Administrative Service, alongside an MPA at LSE. It bridges practitioner insight on budget execution with rigorous causal methods in applied development economics.

A two-year Master of Public Administration programme with a modular, executive format: students attend teaching in London for a series of eight week-long blocks over 22 months, alongside professional practice. The programme's focus is on evidence-based public policy, with a rigorous curriculum spanning public economics, fiscal governance, empirical methods, and policy analysis. I completed the programme in July 2026, awarded with Merit, including Distinctions in Public Economics and in Fiscal Governance & Budgeting.

Internet of Things (IoT) involves connecting devices to the internet across multiple networks to allow them to communicate with humans, applications and each other. IoT is set to have a huge impact on our daily lives, helping us to reduce traffic congestion, improve care for the elderly and create smarter homes and offices. This four-week course provides a high-level overview of the IoT concepts from a mobile perspective, outline the role IoT can play in enhancing the quality of life of citizens and explore the implications that IoT has for policymakers and regulators.

The 12-month certificate course introduces the essentials of public financial management; providing a practical and broad-based knowledge of public financial management, teaching the foundations of public sector finance and ensuring finance professionals in the public sector have a core understanding of what is involved. The Certificate is made up on 22 modules of public financial management.

Completed the Trust Fund Management Course organized by the DFI and the Trust Fund Academy of the World Bank Group during March 13-15, 2019, in Beijing, China. The course covered TF Establishment, TF Execution, Working with RETF and BETF, TF Costing Tool & Indicative Budget Calculation, TF Reporting and Monitoring, TF Quality and Compliance, and TF Closure. I am an accredited Trust Fund Manager by the World Bank Group.

The certification course covered the following topics: DPF Overview, Options and Process, DPF in fragile and crisis situations, Implementation Completion and Results (ICR) Report for DPF, and Developing a Strong DPF Results Framework. I am an Accredited Task Team Leader of DPF operations of the World Bank Group.

The course included: Risk assessment, Labour conditions, resource efficiency, community safety, land resettlement, biodiversity, indigenous peoples, cultural heritage, financial intermediaries, and stakeholder engagement.

This hands-on course included: Data management and cleaning, writing reproducible do-files, generating visualizations, basic statistical estimations, and producing transparent, replicable analytics.
